Tested and Proven ResultsPet Urine Removal Treatment Tuscon
An independent laboratory recently conducted multiple tests of our P.U.R.T. process to determine its effectiveness in treating pet urine odors and stains. In tests against the most common odor sources found in dog and cat urine, this study found that P.U.R.T. removes an average of 99.9% of pet urine odors from carpets. To go one step further, the study also tested Chem-Dry’s ability to eliminate the bacteria that can be found in pet urine. When used along with our HCE (Hot Carbonating Extraction) cleaning process and a sanitizer, the study found that P.U.R.T. removes an average of 99.2% of the bacteria from pet urine stains in carpets.

How P.U.R.T. Works
Our Pet Urine Removal Treatment stands apart in the carpet cleaning industry. Our proprietary P.U.R.T. process is unparalleled in the industry. It's specifically formulated to break down molecules found deep in the carpet that are the source of the odors.First, our trained professional will do an inspection of your carpets with a special ultraviolet light. This light exposes any problem areas and odorous urine deposits that may not be visible to the naked eye.Next, the carpet will be rinsed with our deep cleaning, patented Hot Carbonating Extraction cleaning process to remove any liquid or loose urine crystals. Then, we apply our amazing odor removal product, P.U.R.T., to each stain. P.U.R.T. travels deep into the carpet pad and even the sub-floor reaching areas that typical cleaning products or process cannot reach.Once applied, P.U.R.T. goes to work breaking down all of the odor-causing elements over the next 24 to 36 hours. When each treated area has dried, the odor is gone for good.

Hello everyone, summer is in full swing and we hope everyone is enjoying this time of the year when warm weather reigns, the sun shines longer, and we can all spend more time outdoors doing the things we love. Summer seams to come with its own set of fun activities like hiking, eating ice cream, having picnics and barbecues, and going swimming. These things all can cause their own unique stains to clothes, but that’s no reason to not enjoy this wonderful time of year. Go ahead and enjoy your summer and we’ll help you take care of any summertime stains you might encounter!

Grass Stains: grass stains are very common during the summer months and come in many varieties. Luckily, they are fairly simple to remove. For really tough grass stains we recommend soaking the garment in a bowl of warm water with a small amount of laundry detergent for about 30 minutes and then simply follow the normal launder instructions.

Mud Stains: little ones are bound to get muddy during their summer adventures. The best way to treat these stains is to let the mud dry and then remove as much of the mud as possible with a utensil. Once that is complete, wet the affected area, apply a small amount of detergent and rub the stain out. Once you’ve treated the stain launder normally.

Ice Cream Stains: ice cream is both delicious and dangerous, so be careful when you’re enjoying this summer treat. If you get an ice cream stain we recommend soaking the garment in cool water for 10 minutes. After that rub some detergent into the stain followed by 30 more minutes of soaking in room temperature water. Finally, apply some sort of spot remover for 7-10 minutes before laundering normally.

Ketchup/Mustard Stains: It’s difficult to have a proper barbecue without ketchup and mustard present, and stains are bound to happen here. First of all, scrape away the excess condiment, and then run the affected area under cool water. Next, rub the stain out with detergent, working your way from the outside of the stain inward. For white garments you may try applying some lemon juice or white vinegar as a bleaching element. Of course, launder as normal once the stain is removed.

Sunscreen Stains: These stains may happen during your day at the beach or pool, and fortunately it doesn’t take much to conquer them. We recommend applying a spot remover to the stain, and then pretreating by rubbing it with warm water and detergent before washing it normally.

Happy summer to everyone, and now that you know how to handle the stains, have fun out there without worrying!

May is Allergy Awareness Month, just in time for the usual slew of allergens to return in the spring time.. With 1 in 5 Americans suffering from either allergy or asthma symptoms, we need to do all we can to ensure we have clean homes to reduce the effects of these illnesses. Chem-Dry specializes in exactly that. We fight allergens and make your home cleaner and healthier to make the transition into spring easier on you and your family. Aside from having your home cleaned by us there are additional steps you can take to reduce the effects of the season:

Spring Cleaning: By keeping your home clean and tidy you can help reduce the amount of allergens and dust mites that exist in your home. Do simple things like emptying the trash daily, washing your bedding often, changing the filter in your furnace and air conditioner, and getting rid of any mildew. You’ll be surprised how such simple changes can make a big difference.

Keep Allergens at Bay: Part of the problem is that allergens cling to us and follow us into our homes. One way to keep them at bay is to remove your shoes, jacket, and hat when you enter the home. This way you leave them at the door instead of allowing them to tag along through the rest of the house. Another smart tip is to bathe at night, or even simply wash your hair before bed. This keeps your sleeping area clean and allergen free, which will allow you to get great sleep and wake up refreshed each day!

Pet Control: We all love our pets, but they are a common cause of allergies. There are some simple things you can do to reduce the allergy effects of having a pet while still being able to have them as part of your family. You’ll want to keep your pets off of couches, beds, and other living areas and ensure you clean up after them regularly. This includes bathing them on a regular basis. Your pets are lucky to have you, and following these simple tips can allow you to enjoy them without suffering from allergies.

While there are a lot of advantages to the Chem-Dry method, our ability to clean more effectively than any other brand or technique available is what makes us the best choice for your family. To bring that 'new carpet feel' back to your carpets we've got millions of carbonating bubbles on our side that will lift the dirt right out of your carpets.

Everyone who's had a carbonated drink knows that, after pouring the drink, the bubbles rise to the top. That's because of the lifting properties carbonation inherently has. The explosive reaction created by the carbonation in our solution penetrates deeply into your carpet and releases dirt and grime from each individual carpet fiber. The carbonated formula lifts these unwanted particles to the top of your carpet, where they can be safely extracted using our proprietary hot water extraction. The results will surprise and delight you. Our method completely removes carpet debris and stains, giving you the most fulfilling clean feeling you can get from having your carpets and upholstery cleaned.

Rather than carbonated cleaning, steam cleaners use high pressure and loads of soapy water on your carpets. Cleaning this way pushes dirt and moisture down into your carpet, hiding the mess instead of cleaning it and creating a breeding ground for mildew and other bacteria. Using steam cleaners also increases the amount of time it takes to dry your carpets, which is about 1-2 days. K & L Chem-Dry’s technique, however, uses minimal water and dries within just 1-2 hours. What that means is that K & L Chem-Dry is 24 times faster than steam cleaners! That’s comfort done the Chem-Dry way. No matter your budget, we're confident you can experience our amazing services. For the best cleaning services and customer service available, call today!

After finding a stain on your carpets, first instinct may be to call the professionals to take out the stain. Many spots and spills are easily remedied using simple techniques anyone can master. Most carpet cleaners won't tell you about them because they don't make any money that way! At Chem-Dry we put our customers first, and we're happy to give you a few tips to save you some money and help you get the stains out easily on your own.

Begin with some warm water and a white towel. Simply dab the stain with the cloth and a little bit of warm water. Do not scrub or wipe the spot. Doing anything more than gentle blotting can both fray your carpet fiber and make the stain worse. Carefully blotting the stain can transfer the spot from the carpet to your white towel. The towel will become darker as you continue to transfer the stain from the carpet. If the stain is not coming out of the carpet, do not continue this process.

Club soda is the next step if you weren't able to get any transfer with warm water. Chem-Dry uses club soda as a key ingredient, making it an excellent solution for removing those tough stains. This process is similar to the warm water process. Just dampen the carpet with the club soda and blot the stain checking for transfer often. If you don't see any improvement, you'll know it's time to call Chem-Dry. We are so confident in our abilities to remove every stain, that we guarantee all our work. Let us prove our motto: if we can't get it out, no one can!

The summer months can be grueling when it comes to keeping your house clean from the dirt brought in by kids and pets. Fortunately, many of the messes will be subdued thanks to the start of school. With your house in chaos from months of summer fun, let us help restore it back to order with superior carpet and upholstery cleaning.

Chem-Dry’s unique carpet cleaning process allows us to clean deeper and faster than any other brand. The Chem-Dry process uses a carbonated water solution to get deep into the carpet fibers and bring the dirt molecules to the surface. We then extract the dirt, getting rid of the mess completely rather than hiding it. We use just a fifth of the water meaning your clean carpets will be dry in just 1-2 hours, allowing you to get back to life quicker! Call us today for a free estimate!

Even though summer is supposed to be relaxing, for people who have allergies, it can take a daily turn for the worse. Routine and thorough carpet and upholstery cleanings can protect your home against pollen season by removing allergens from your home. By relying on Chem-Dry, you can make your home clean and safe from allergies when you most need it.

On a daily basis, carpets will collect allergens, dust, germs and other unwanted, irritating and otherwise harmful particles that can spread illness and cause allergic reactions. Chem-Dry professionals use a unique carbonated solution to remove these substances from individual carpet fibers, lifting them to the surface, rather than simply hiding the mess with buckets of water, as steam cleaning methods do. Though we can’t stop the allergens outside your home, try us to relieve your symptoms within your home!

K & L Chem-Dry is primed and ready to partner with you for this year’s Spring Cleaning! Clearing out unused items and cleaning up your home helps us feel better. But more importantly, a deep spring cleaning in your home can help your family stay healthy and allergy-free this summer.

Most households can easily have a buildup of dust and dirt that are tracked in during the winter months. In addition, germs from colds, flu viruses and other illnesses stay stagnant in your home when the windows are closed. Opening your windows helps freshen the air, but it doesn’t help clear out the buildup of dust, dirt and germs that has built up in your carpets. Spring and summer can also bring mild or extreme allergies for many people. Over 50 million Americans suffer from allergies. Doing a complete spring cleaning can decrease allergy symptoms by removing dust, mites, bacteria and other allergens hiding on indoor surfaces, carpets, and upholstery.

Cleaning all surfaces, including hard-to-reach and hidden areas can reduce the allergens in your home. Cleaning blinds and removing unused bedding and plush toys can help as well.

We can help your deep spring cleaning efforts by:
- Deep cleaning your carpets, rugs, and upholstery. Our services help remove the hidden allergens in your carpets, and furniture.
- Applying our Sanitizer and Dust Mite Allergen Treatment. These products can keep your carpet free of dust mites for an extended time.

You may have a big family, or live alone. Either way, you have many more roommates than you can see.  Every time you leave your home, you track bacteria from outside into your carpets and onto your furniture. While this is just part of life, there are precautions that you can take to stop the spreading of these germs from your couch or your area rug to a dropped cookie or the fingers of a small child.

Chem-Dry uses a carbonated cleaning technique that is minimally invasive to your carpet fibers. We use 80% less water than our competitors, yet our powerful equipment extracts way more dirt and grime than any other carpet cleaning company out there. Also, our process provides you with a deeper clean, while maintaining a shorter drying time. That means there is less time for the bacteria and mold growing deep in your carpets and furniture to multiply and thrive on the moisture.

No one likes a roommate that skips out on rent. Don’t fall victim to the nasty mold stains or bacteria-filled carpets that could creep up on your before you know it!

It’s important to stay informed about your carpet’s warranty. According to an article by Tom Wolfe from Impressions Carpet Services, “A percentage of what you paid for your carpet went to cover the anticipated costs to the manufacturer for warranty claims. [These] claims are more often than not the result of poor, or improper, maintenance. Over the last few years, carpet manufacturers have begun to tie warranties to required maintenance by the carpet purchaser.

This means that whether you are in the market for new carpet or not, you need to be aware that the requirements are become more strict for warranties. “The bottom line is that proper maintenance will help you get a greater return on your carpet investment, no matter when it was purchased,” the article goes on to say.

Some of the main issues that manufacturers are addressing fall into 4 categories:

1. The proper cleaning method.
Most carpet mills require the Hot-Water Extraction Cleaning process, which is the method that Chem-Dry uses to give your carpets a deep clean without damaging the carpet fibers.

2. The proper cleaning schedule.
As a general rule, all major manufacturers have a minimum requirement that carpets be cleaned every 1-2 years. (keep your receipts as proof)

3. The proper cleaning system.
Your carpets should be cleaned professionally by equipment that is tested and certified with the Carpet and Rug Institute. All Chem-Dry equipment is certified and rated GOLD with the CRI, providing your home with the best technicians and equipment to get your carpets cleaner than ever.

4. The proper cleaning technician.
The single most important aspect in proper cleaning is to get the right person to do the job. All Chem-Dry technicians are trained and certified to deliver amazing results, while maintaining efficiency and staying affordable.

Stick with these handy rules to stay up to date with your warranty and keep your carpet looking great – FOREVER!
